Miss Universe 2012

Wow, the beauty pageant that I have been waiting for the whole year. Finally...

Right after the preliminaries, I already expect that Misses Philippines, Mexico, USA, and Venezuela will be part of Top 16. And true enough, they did.

Miss USA won Miss Universe 2012, while my bet Miss Philippines finished as 1st Runner Up. USA last won the title back in 1997, while Philippines last place 1st Runner Up back in 1999. While Venezuela finished 2nd runner up, Australia 3rd runner up, and Brazil 4th runner up.

Brazil and Philippines was also part of top 5 last year. Brazil finished as 2nd runner up, while Philippines as 3rd runner up. Australia was part of last year's top 10, USA and Venezuela was also part of last year's top 16.

Countries who made it top 16 are Turkey (last placed 1990 Top10), Peru (2005 Top10), Poland (1989 3rdRU), Croatia (2009 Top15), Kosovo (2011 Top16), and India (2007 Top10). Top 10 are Russia (last placed 2010 Top15), France (2011 Top10), Hungary (2006 Top10), South Africa (2009 Top10), Mexico (2010 Winner)

Mr. Philippines hailed 1st Runner Up at Mr. World 2012

Mr. Philippines Andrew James Wolff was the 1st Runner up at Mr. World 2012 held at Kent, England.

When I heard that athlete model Andrew Wolff was chosen by the Mr World Philippines organization to represent the country on Mr. World 2012 (later change as Mr. World 2013), I knew that Philippines would have a high chance of placing this year. And true enough, this is the first time that Philippines got a placing at Mr. World.

2nd Runner Up: Ireland

Top 10: Canada, Croatia, Vietnam, Peru. Belgium, England, Lebanon

(Belgium, England, and Vietnam was also a representative at Manhunt International 2011. Belgium was the 2nd Runner Up, Vietnam 3rd Runner Up, and England was a semifinalist.)

Although I am sad that the Philippines representative at Mr. International 2012 (Mark Gutoman), Mr. Universe Model 2012 (John Macia), and Mr. Gay World 2012 (Carlito Rosadino) didn't place, I think it's still a great year for the Philippines in international pageant. Winning Miss International Queen 2012 (Kevin Balot), and Manhunt International 2012 (June Macasaet). 1st Runner Up at Mister World 2012 (Andrew Wolff), and Miss Earth 2012 (Stephany Stefanowitz - Miss Air). 3rd Runner Up at Miss Supranational 2012 (Elaine Kay Moll). And semifinalist at Miss World 2012 (Quennierich Rehman), and Miss International 2012 (Nicole Schmitz).

Now I'm crossing my fingers for the Philippines representative for Miss Universe 2012 (Janine Tugonon), who will compete this December at Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mr.Philippines won Manhunt International 2012

I knew it, Mr.Philippines June Macasaet would win Manhunt International 2012.

Ever since I got the news that June Macasaet won Manhunt Philippines, I knew he's got a high chance of winning internationally.

I am so happy. This is the first time that Philippines won in a male pageant.

1st runner up: Sweden
2nd runner up: Macau
3rd runner up: Puerto Rico
4th runner up: Singapore

Top 15: Colombia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Greece, India, Latvia, Switzerland, Thailand, United States, Venezuela.

KZ Tandingan... X Factor Philippines Winner.

KZ Tandingan (girls category)... the very first X Factor Philippines champion. Gabrielle Maturan (boys category) finished 2nd place, while Daddy's Home (groups) finished 3rd.

At first, I was a little worried that Gab would be the winner since he had never been in the bottom. When Daddy's Home was announced 3rd place, I was like OMG! this is it. Still worried because KZ was previous week's bottom2 (alongside Allen Sta.Maria). But when it was announced that KZ won the competition, I was like. YES!

A lot of people predicted (ever since her audition) that KZ would won this competition, because she really got this distinct unique voice, and she's really good.

Congratulations KZ.

Medina... Out of XFactorPh

Last night, Jeric Medina (boys category) was eliminated.

When the bottom 2 was announced, I was disappointed that it was Jeric and Daddy's Home since both did great during the performance. Right after the survival song, the judges voted. Martin backed his act (Jeric) and Pilita voted the group out. Gary V. also backed his act (Daddy's Home) and Charice gave the last vote to eliminate Jeric. Deadlock... public vote, Jeric got the lowest... he was eliminated.

Although I also like Daddy's home, I think Jeric should have been saved by the judges. Anyhow, 4 acts left Allen Sta. Maria, and KZ Tandingan from the girls category. Gabriel Maturan from the boys. And Daddy's Home for the group. I hope KZ win this.

X-Factor Philippines Top12

Alright, I am so happy that KZ, Allen, and Take Off are part of top12. Here's the list...

Groups: AKA JAM, Take Off, Daddy's Home
Over 25s: Mark Mabasa, Modesto Taran, Joan Da
Girls: KZ Tandingan, Allen Jane Sta.Maria, Jerrianne Templo
Boys: Jeric Medina, Gabriel Maturan, Kedebon Colim

Although initially I was disappointed that 5th Avids were not chosen to be part of it, I'm still happy with the group line up. Also, I think Martin should have chosen either Michael, or Anton instead of the Colim guy.

Let's see who'll survive...

X Factor Philippines

Alright, so the top20 for the first season of X-Factor Philippines was revealed. And I'm so happy that some of my favorites made it in.

KZ Tandingan who auditioned at Davao really blew me away. She really got a distinct voice, and right then I told my sister that she will be part of top 20... I am quite happy that I'm right.

Allen Sta. Maria, who I believe had been part of Protege: The Battle for the Big Break (one of Jay-R's Protege) also made it in. To tell you the truth, I was really surprised that she was not chosen to be Jay-Rs protege.

5th Avids who sang Shackles during audition,
and Take Off who sang Dynamite were the only groups that I like. They were also chosen to be part of top5 groups.

Michael Pangilinan, who got this charm also got my attention during audition. And I'm happy that he's part of the top5 boys.

Meanwhile I'm so sad that Jordan Bautista (brother of Christian Bautista), Walton Zerrudo (Pinoy Idol top16), and Carol Leus (Pinoy Idol top14) was not chosen to be part of top20. They were part of my early favorites.

Phil Phillips Win!

As I hoped, and expected Phillip Phillips won American Idol 11.

At first I was nervous, and doubtful that he will win because during the first round of yesterday's performance, the judges all agree that Jessica got it (although  I'm also happy about that since Jessica has a Filipino blood). However during the third round the judges agree that Phil got it.

Although I was hoping that Phil would win, part of me also wants Jessica  Sanchez to win the competition. Aside from the fact that she's got a  Filipino blood, it's been almost six years since a girl won the competition (Jordin Sparks, Winner AI6),  and she's the very first  recipient of judges save  who made  it to the finale.

I am so happy that once again, one of my favorite won the competition.

Phil Phillips Vs Jessica Sanchez

Alright so this is gonna be an interesting showdown, and I'm so excited for this.

Not only  this is the first time that the contestant that was saved by the judges made it to the finale, but first ever that a contender with filipino blood made it to the top2.

Also this is gonna  be an interesting showdown because both are indeed  favorites....

I am really so excited to know who among those 2  will win.

Animals in Our Heart

Dixon... Out! Phillips... In!

Alright, last night I watched AI11 elimination, and I'm very much disappointed that Colton Dixon (one of my favorites) was eliminated.

When Hollie Cavanagh and Elise Testone was announced part of the bottom group, and Joshua Ledet and Skylar Laine safe It was down to Jessica Sanchez, Phillip Phillips, and Colton Dixon. I was like OMG! one of my favorite will be for the first time at the bottom group (Colton and Phil had never in the bottom group).

And it was... Colton completed the bottom 3 along Hollie and Elise. And I initially thought that Elise will be eliminated since she had been on the bottom group a lot of times. But I was really shocked that it was Colton who got the lowest vote. And since there's no more save, he's eliminated.

So Phil is my only favorite left, and I hop he made it to the final 2...

Colton Dixon: AI11 Top 13

I'm so happy that Colton Dixon is part of this seasons Top13.

Although I'm sad that Chase Likens, Adam Brock, Reed Grimm (wild card), Hallie Day, Baylie Brown, and Jen Hirsh (wild card) wasn't part of top 13. I'm still happy that some of my favorite are still in like Heejun Han, Phil Phillips, Shannon Magrane, and Jessica Sanchez.

Now this is gonna be an interesting season. Its gonna be hard to pick who's who. American Idol Season 11's Top 13 is so talented...

AI11: Top 24

Alright, so this week AI season 11's Top 24 was named.

I was really happy that most of my favorites made it in, like Colton Dixon, Hallie Day, Reed Grimm, Phil Phillips, Heejun Han, Baylie Brown, and Adam Brock.

Plus I got new favorites like Jen Hirsh, Creighton Fraker, Shannon Magrane, Chase Likens, Eben Franckewitz, and Jessica Sanchez (who I heard was half-filipina).

Now, they said that the top12 boys will be top13. And the judges are deciding between four early favorites... David Leathers Jr., Jermaine Jones, Richie Law, And Johnny Keyser. I hope it's Johnny.

AI11: Favorites

Alright, I was a bit disappointed that Ethan Jones, Ramiro Garcia, Jane Carrey, And Wolf Hamlin was eliminated. But still I'm happy that Johnny Keyser, Hallie Day, Reed Grimm, and Baylie Brown are still in the competition.

Although I have new favorites... Philip Philips, Jessica Philips, and Adam Brock (who sang like Danny Gokey), I still have no idea if Colton Dixon, Ashley Robles, Britnee Kellogg, and Reis Kloeckener is still in.

AI11: My Early Favorites

Colton Dixon... one of my favorite last season, but didn't make it to the top 24.

This season he didn't plan to audition, but her sister does. During

his sisters audition, the judges ask for Colton. He did sang for the judges after her sister, and both of them got 3 yeses.

I'm really hoping that the judges will put him through the top 24.

Also, I like Ethan Jones when he sang I'll Be (Edwin McCain). I can somehow say that he's

like Lee DeWyze (season 9 winner). Ramiro Garcia,

Hallie Day, and Britnee Kellogg move me, the way they sang their audition.

Ashley Robles (who I heard is half pinay), is also one of my favorite, plus Jason "Wolf" Hamlin.

Other successful audition that I'm gonna be watching are Reed Grimm, Johnny Keyser, Reis Kloeckener, Baylie Brown, Travis Orlando, Jane Carrey (daughter of Jim Carrey), and Heejun Han.
