Miss International 2013 - Philippines

I wasn't updated since I was in the office during Miss International. But Bea Rose Santiago (Bb. Pilipinas 2013 - International) won Philippines 5th Miss International crown, and 3rd crown for the Philippines this year.

I haven't got much to say since I wasn't able to watch the pageant. But congratulations Bea... another pride for our country.

Miss Universe 2013

Venezuela won their 7th Miss Universe crown.

I was really tensed during the announcement of the semifinalist. 15 Misses had already been called and yet Philippines was not part of it. And then the winner for online voting was announced... Philippines, I was definitely happy.

Costa Rica (last placed 2011 Top10), China (2011 4thRU), Indonesia (2005 Top15), Puerto Rico (2011 Top16), Nicaragua (2007 Top10), and Switzerland (2009 Top10) are Misses that made it to the Top16 this year. Then the next cut was made after the swimsuit round.

Great Britain (first time in the semis), India (last placed 2012 Top16), Ukraine (2011 1st RU), Dominican Republic (2009 1st RU), and USA (last years winner) are the Misses that got cut after the evening gown. And so the Top 5 move on to the Q&A portion.

Brazil for 2 consecutive years now finished 4th RU, followed by Philippines 3rd RU (last years 1st RU). Ecuador (first time in the top 5) was named 2nd RU, while Spain was the one standing along side Venezuela when she (Venezuela) was announced Miss Universe 2013.

I was somehow sad that Miss Philippines Ariella Arida didn't get the crown, but still I'm happy and proud of her, 4 years in the Top 5.

Now Miss Earth, Miss International, and Mister International are the only pageant left for me this year. Will Angelee delos Reyes win the 2nd Miss Earth crown for Philippines? Will Bea Rose Santiago bring home the 5th Miss International crown for our country? Or will Gil Wagas bring back the Philippines in the semifinalist, or better yet be the first Filipino to be Mister International? That's definitely something I'm gonna watch out.

Burns and Rohmer Out of ANTM20

So, two of my favorite contender at America's Next Top Model 20: Boys and Girls were booted out in a double elimination.

Let me first go back 2 episodes before. At the start of episode 11 it was revealed that Jeremy Rohmer would be the eliminated guy to come back. However at the end of the same episode, Alex Agro (the female comeback) was eliminated, with Chris Hernandez on the bottom two.

Episode 13... it was heartbreaking (so dramatic...) to see three of my favorites in the bottom 3. Nina, Chris, and Jeremy. At first I thought that Chris and Jeremy will be eliminated, and Nina would be spared since she had never been in the bottom, plus she got two consecutive best photo prior. However it was so shocking that she got the lowest score (first to be eliminated). But I already figured that it would be Jeremy next... and so he is.

Now 5 contenders left. 3 Have never been in the bottom (Jourdan Miller, Cory Hinderoff, Renee Bhagwandeen), and 2 had been in the bottom and happens to be my favorites left (Chris Hernandez, Marvin Cortes).

Ang Jeep At Ang Love

I was browsing through my old stuff when I came across an old notebook. Written at the very last page of that notebook was a text message that was sent to me back in high school. Something I really liked.

Isang araw, sumakay ako sa jeep. Ako lang pasahero ni manong. Nagsalita siya "hirap talaga pumasada, lalo na pagbihira lang ang sumakay", sabi ko naman "oo nga po eh". ANTM20 Comeback

So, two of my favorite contender in ANTM20 Guys& Girls, was able to comeback.

Alexandra Agro who was eliminated in the 4th photo shoot, and Jeremy Rohmer who was eliminated following Alex was able to return in the competition at episode 9 and 11.

When Tyra Banks revealed that Alex (with the score of 7) will be the one to return, I was a bit sad because Jiana Davis (eliminated 6th photo shoot) is also my favorite, not to mention the early front runner. But I know for a fact that another eliminated contender will be brought back to the competition (which is a guy). And I am so happy to know that it is Jeremy (with the score of 6.7).

Now 5 over 6 of my favorites is once again competing with each other. Alex Agro, Chris Hernandez, Jeremy Rohmer, Marvin Cortes, and Nina Burns. Hope one of them wins.

Miss World 2013 - Philippines

Oh my God! That is another first for the Philippines

Megan Young was one of my favorite contender in the Miss World Philippines pageant back in August. She's my 2nd favorite next to Bianca Paz. I was really happy that both of them made it to the top 5. Although I was disappointed that once again Bianca Paz was 3rd Princess, I was still happy that Megan Young won rights to represent the country in the international pageant.

Just like in the local pageant where she bag a lot of special awards, I was also hoping that she would also get a lot of awards internationally. Although she only won the Top Model award, she was still a finalists in the Multimedia, and Beach Fashion.

I was so excited every time the score board will be flashed and Miss Philippines is on the top, which means a sure place in the top 5. And I wasn't wrong... not only that she was part of this years top 6, but she won the crown of Miss World 2013... the very Miss World crown for the Philippines.

Psychology Post

So, I saw yet another post from a friend in Facebook, and has something to do with psychology. I want to post it here in my blog because it is somehow true for me.

If a person laughs too much, even at stupid things, he is lonely deep inside. If a person sleeps a lot, he is sad. If a person speaks less, but speaks fast, he keep secrets. If someone can't cry, he is weak. If someone eats in an abnormal manner, he is tense. If someone cries on little things, he is innocent and soft-hearted. If someone becomes angry over silly over pretty small things, it means he needs love.

Miss Supranational 2013 - Philippines

When I heard that the Philippine's representative (Mutya Johanna Datul)  to the Miss Supranational 2013 pageant won, I cannot believe it... but at the same time I was happy.

Back in April 2013, at the local pageant (Binibining Pilipinas), she definitely is one of the favorites, which I presume secured her a spot in the Top 15. However, after the Q&A portion, I didn't quite expect that she would get one of the titles. Not even Bb. Pilipinas - Supranational, since for the said title I was thinking that either Rhea Nakpil, or Maria Angelica De Leon would get it. Even so I was still happy with the result, even if I strongly believe the the first runner up (Pia Wurtzbach) should have gotten one of the title.

So last year, Philippines (Elaine Kay Moll) finished as a 3rd runner up. With this ( as well as Datul's beauty), I was confident that Philippines would once again be on the semi-finals. And I was not wrong, for more than that, Datul won the crown. This is the first crown that the Philippines won this year, at the same time first time to win Miss Supranational.

Now, I'm just waiting for the big international beauty pageant, and how our country's (Philippines) representative would do.

A Post From Him

When I checked my Facebook today, I saw this post from my crush that really hit me hard. I don't know but for some reasons it make me want him more.

Some people told me that I don't have balls because I got stuck and I ran after. To be honest, I think I have the balls to have the guts to try my best to save a ship that sank already, to tell people that I get weak sometimes, to still laugh as I always do. I have the balls and guts to live and trust people who judge, to love, to share and to pray selflessly. I am not ashamed to be called bitter, because I know I was bitter about love and not because of wealth, fame health or other greedy intentions. I have the balls to speak out for myself and for other people. At the end of the day, i have the balls to be honest to myself and make myself believe what I cant stand on. We use our guts in a lot of things, but does it benefit a lot of people and is it pure and honest?

Now You See Me

Well, ever since I was a kid I am fascinated with magic. Maybe that is the reason why when one of my colleagues showed me the trailer to this movie "Now You See Me" I got so interested.

So last night, I gave myself an early birthday present (since my birthday is a weeks from now), I watched the movie on cinema. It was cool, definitely cool. The ending was something that I didn't quite expect.

The movie is about four street magician who are recruited by a mysterious man to create "The Four Horseman". A year after they were recruited, in one of their show, their finale was to invite someone from the audience and help them rob a bank. After which, was investigated by an FBI agent, and an French Interpol.

Now this is the kind of movie that I would suggest to anyone, as the turn of events... there is a definite connection between the four magicians and the FBI agent.

Angie Miller... Out of Idol?

I'm very much disappointed that Angela Miller (my only girl favorite) was eliminated. I'm pretty sure from the top 5 that she'll win... but no. This is crazy wrong...

This is the first time ever that the top 5 are all in one gender. Just as I expected, it is girls year this season.

I was a bit sad though that my guy favorites are eliminated consecutively... well not that consecutive. Paul Jolley (top9), Devin Velez (top8), and Lazaro Arbos (top6). Although I had expected last night that Lazaro will be eliminated, I was still shocked, and sad.

Now, Angie Miller is my only remaining favorite... and she's one of the forerunner of this competition. She's got a high chance of winning this competition. Her biggest competition would be Kree Harrison, and Candice Glover. I predict they will be the top 3.

I hope Angie win this.

American Idol 12 Top 10

Alright, generally I'm happy with he result. Paul Jolley, Lazaro Arbos, and Devin Velez all made it to top 10. Unfortunately Elijah Liu, and Cortez Shaw did not make it. While for the girls Janelle Arthur, and Angela Miller made it.

Others who complete the top 10 are Curtis Finch Jr., Burnell Taylor, Candice Glover, Amber Holcomb, and  Kree Harrison.

Another Disappointing Result.

Alright So, last week I watched American Idol season 12's final Las Vegas round. I was (once again) disappointed by the result.

Bryant Tadeo, and Josh Holiday were eliminated from the competition. I was disappointed because I know both were more entertaining the the others. However I'm so glad that Lazaro Arbos, and Cortez Shaw made it in to top 20.

Now this week's gonna be interesting since from Top 20 they're gonna be cut down to Top 10. So far here are some of those I want to be part of Top 10.

Johnny Keyser... Out of Idol?

I cannot just believe it. Johnny Keyser, and Jimmy Smith was eliminated. And Curtis Finch is part of Top 20. This is totally unbelievable... and disappointing.

But good thing is that Angela Miller, Paul Jolley, Devin Velez, and Elijah Liu are part of top20.

Now next week, is gonna be more interesting since there's a lot of good performers on the remaining to perform. Hope Janelle Arthur, Cristabel Clack, Lazaro Arbos, Josh Holiday, Cortez Shaw, and Bryant Tadeo all made it in. Oh and I heard that there's a Filipina who's already in the top 20... Adriana Latonio.

Should I pursue him or not?

Crossing my fingers. I hope this person has something better in mind for me. Even if I know that crossing my fingers won't really make any difference at all. Hahaha!

I actually have a crush on this guy (he was actually my trainer), and this is exactly his post at Facebook.

Although he knows that I have a crush on him, I don't think that there would be a possibility that we can be together since I'm not his type. However some of my colleagues told me that there's nothing wrong in trying to woo the guy. But I don't really know.

Then I just saw this post. I pretty much sure that that post wasn't meant for me (although at some point I'm hoping that it really is), but I can't really help it. I wanted to text him now, just to know how he is but I'm just so afraid that it would be just a nonsense text to him. I'm just so afraid that he might reject me.

Should I pursue him, or should I just keep it to myself?
