Miss World 2013 - Philippines

Oh my God! That is another first for the Philippines

Megan Young was one of my favorite contender in the Miss World Philippines pageant back in August. She's my 2nd favorite next to Bianca Paz. I was really happy that both of them made it to the top 5. Although I was disappointed that once again Bianca Paz was 3rd Princess, I was still happy that Megan Young won rights to represent the country in the international pageant.

Just like in the local pageant where she bag a lot of special awards, I was also hoping that she would also get a lot of awards internationally. Although she only won the Top Model award, she was still a finalists in the Multimedia, and Beach Fashion.

I was so excited every time the score board will be flashed and Miss Philippines is on the top, which means a sure place in the top 5. And I wasn't wrong... not only that she was part of this years top 6, but she won the crown of Miss World 2013... the very Miss World crown for the Philippines.

Psychology Post

So, I saw yet another post from a friend in Facebook, and has something to do with psychology. I want to post it here in my blog because it is somehow true for me.

If a person laughs too much, even at stupid things, he is lonely deep inside. If a person sleeps a lot, he is sad. If a person speaks less, but speaks fast, he keep secrets. If someone can't cry, he is weak. If someone eats in an abnormal manner, he is tense. If someone cries on little things, he is innocent and soft-hearted. If someone becomes angry over silly over pretty small things, it means he needs love.

Miss Supranational 2013 - Philippines

When I heard that the Philippine's representative (Mutya Johanna Datul)  to the Miss Supranational 2013 pageant won, I cannot believe it... but at the same time I was happy.

Back in April 2013, at the local pageant (Binibining Pilipinas), she definitely is one of the favorites, which I presume secured her a spot in the Top 15. However, after the Q&A portion, I didn't quite expect that she would get one of the titles. Not even Bb. Pilipinas - Supranational, since for the said title I was thinking that either Rhea Nakpil, or Maria Angelica De Leon would get it. Even so I was still happy with the result, even if I strongly believe the the first runner up (Pia Wurtzbach) should have gotten one of the title.

So last year, Philippines (Elaine Kay Moll) finished as a 3rd runner up. With this ( as well as Datul's beauty), I was confident that Philippines would once again be on the semi-finals. And I was not wrong, for more than that, Datul won the crown. This is the first crown that the Philippines won this year, at the same time first time to win Miss Supranational.

Now, I'm just waiting for the big international beauty pageant, and how our country's (Philippines) representative would do.
